How long does it take to process a transfer stamp application?
Per our ordinance, the village may take up to three (3) business days from receipt of completed application to process the request. If a hold is found, it may take longer. It is recommended that you submit your request five (5) to seven (7) business days in advance of your closing date to avoid delays.
How will I know there is a hold on my request?
You will be contacted by the appropriate division that a hold has been found and needs to be resolved to release the transfer stamp.
What are your hours?
We are open Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. excluding holidays.
Is there an inspection required for a transfer stamp?
There is no inspection required unless there is one related to a hold. If there is a hold, you will be contacted by the appropriate division that a hold has been found and needs to be resolved to release the transfer stamp.
Can I get a final water read?
A water balance will be obtained through the application of a transfer stamp. The estimated balance due will be reported in the fees tab and your payoff statement.
How do I setup water service for the buyer?
Water service will be setup for the buyer or grantee through the application of a transfer stamp. If not otherwise indicated this service will be setup once payment is received from the title company or other representative.
Can I have the stamp overnighted to me?
Yes, please include a FedEx label or UPS label in the documents section if this is your preferred method of receiving the transfer stamp. Otherwise, the stamp will be set aside for pick up at the counter.
How can I contact someone regarding my transfer stamp application?
You may use the “Manage My Application” button and then use the “send a message” button to have a member of the team contact you.
